Overcoming Mental Blocks: The Power of Guided Writing

My thoughts are confusing. How about yours?

Whenever I try to focus and give them a clear form, something happens. One of my kids yells. A cat runs around. A delivery dude honks. I’m hungry. It’s too late to think and so on. Almost every single time.

But when I write, things change. When I grab the thoughts and kick it out through a pen or a keyboard, it’s not confusing anymore. Scary? Yes. Sometimes.

However, there are times when I don’t know how to start. There are times when grabbing a thought and attaching a word to it is harder than catching flies with chopsticks. That’s when I discovered having a question first, the answer flows without even realizing it.

This pushed me to write The 365Q Journey book collection. There are 365 questions that helps you discover yourself and everything that influences you. There are 20 eBooks, each having 18 or 19 questions, clubbed together on topics like:

  • Assumptions
  • Automatic Thoughts
  • Comfort Zone
  • Communication
  • Core Beliefs
  • Desires
  • Emotions
  • Environment
  • Expectations
  • Fear
  • Goals
  • Habits
  • Mistakes
  • Motivation
  • Passion
  • People
  • Relaxation
  • Skills
  • Time
  • Workplace

Even writing the questions made me think and realize things I could’ve never considered. For example, I never considered how much time I used to spend on thinking about negative things. Once I realized it, I found out that my life was better that I was used to see it.

Here are some more reasons why guided journals are powerful:

  • No More Blank Page Paralysis: Forget staring at an empty notebook, wondering where to start. My guided prompts cut through the noise, forcing you to confront the specific “rusty thoughts” and core beliefs that keep you stuck.
  • Externalize Your Inner Dragons: When you write down your fears, anxieties, or that nagging “shitty life” feeling, they become tangible. It’s much harder for a dragon to control you when it’s staring back at you from the page.
  • Uncover Your Hidden Neural Scripts: The targeted questions help you identify the repetitive loops in your thinking – those ingrained “neural networks” that trigger stress even when things are “nice.”
  • Build a “Paper Trail” of Growth: On your toughest days, you’ll have undeniable evidence of your past resilience and breakthroughs. It’s proof that your current struggle is just a moment, not your destiny.
  • The “Zero-Pressure” Laboratory: This is your safe space to test new mindsets, explore “what-if” scenarios, and make mistakes without judgment. It’s where you practice breaking old habits and forging new ones.
  • Boost Your Self-Awareness (The Real Kind): These journals act as a high-definition mirror, reflecting the parts of your identity often blurred by daily chaos and the “work-life imbalance” trap.
  • Turn Passive Reading into Active Change: You’ll stop just absorbing information and start processing it. This is where “I know I should change” finally turns into “I am actively changing.”
  • Take Radical Responsibility: The prompts challenge you to write down your role in your circumstances, transforming you from the “bitch of your fears” into the architect of your own solutions.

Each of The 365Q Journey is $3.99, which it gets quite expensive when adding everything up. This is why I merged together all of the eBooks under a special price of $17.99 (FREE for BI Awesome Readers).
